The Government of India has recently announced a comprehensive package of incentives specifically tailored for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost their global competitiveness. This new policy framework aims to reduce compliance burdens and provide financial cushions for businesses looking to explore international markets.
1. Remission of Duties and Taxes
Under the new RoDTEP scheme, MSMEs can now claim remission on various central, state, and local duties that were previously non-refundable. This is expected to lower the overall cost of production for export-oriented units by approximately 3-5%.
"Digital formalization is no longer an option but a necessity for Indian MSMEs to leverage global trade benefits effectively."

2. Digital Transformation Subsidy
A dedicated fund of ₹10,000 Crores has been allocated to support the digital adoption of MSMEs. This includes subsidies on ERP implementations, e-commerce integration, and cybersecurity measures.
3. Market Access Initiative
Financial assistance for participating in international trade fairs, product certification in foreign markets, and market research studies has been increased by 50% compared to previous fiscal years.
